I like Andy, I also like Cosby, but Andy is hard to beat. You forgot to include the great Lucas McCain, widower and faithful dad to Mark McCain on the Rifleman!

Ward Cleaver, hands down.
Andy Griffith is a very close second in my book, though.
But I love Ward. And Beaver, and June, and Wally. My favorite all time TV family.
Cute poll, Scott!

Neat poll.
Cute poll, Scott!
Thanks - it wasn't my idea - I saw something similar on another site and thought NazNet would like it.
You forgot to include the great Lucas McCain
Where's Homer?
Ah, but I said "of those listed" in a clever ploy to avoid the "you didn't include my answer" plague!:)

Yes, I saw it. I'm a statistician, remember.
But surely you expected them anyway...

The choices do not go back to the radio program, "One Man's Family." Cosby's show was the last comedy program that I watched on a regular basis. "Little House on the Prairie" was in the setting of some of my childhood and I always liked to watch the circuit riding pastor on it because the setting was about the time that my grandfather was a circuit riding preacher in Iowa just south of the Minnesota setting of the program. Just from the previews none of the more recent ones pass the Paul Whitaker test... "Whatsoever things are...."
Homer who, that's a baseball term.

I voted 'Andy'. He went fishin' and campin'.
My family was a bit like the 'Bunkers', with three more kids. My sister's husband did look a lot like 'Meathead', and was called 'Gomer' when he was in the Marines!

I voted for Andy but Dr. Huxtable is a real close second. I really enjoyed both shows.
