Happy New Year everyone and may it be fruitful in God!
Does anyone have a colllection of MIDI files or can they recommend a good source please? We don't have a regular musician and so we we rely on MIDI files played through our keyboard. It works well as the tempo, instruments and other settings can be changed. What I would like are fresh sources of MIDIs.
Thanks for your help

Ian -
I have a decent collection (we have the same challenge at our church). PM me and we can make arrangements. I'll also try to collect and post some URLs in the next day or two.

We have a good musician (Betty), but I might be interested as well, just as a backup.

I also would like to know where to find MIDI files. My husband and I play the organ and piano but the church definitely needs alternatives so that we're not obligated to be there for every single service forever.

A pretty good alternative is to use "backing tracks". These are full compositions without the actual lead voices.
This works well when you have no musicians at all.

Please accept my apologies. I realized, looking through NazNet today, that I never followed through on my promise to post some URLs. Ian, I'm especially sorry - I will ship some MIDI files to you in the next day or so. It truly just slipped my mind. :o

A google search for "Christian Midi" will result in more free and paid things than you can possibly use. An example would be ...

The quality varies a good bit, but the good stuff is out there. :basic05

Hi Keith, Thanks for the post.
I appreciate Rich that there are numerous sites where one can find midi files. It's always finding "that" one you want. I was hoping that if people had midi collections they could exchange it would be good. Likewise, if there were musians who would create music on request even better.
One useful website which has contemporary collections as well as more traditional hymns is as follows. You do have to pay to download them but the quality is excellent.
