Awwwwwwwww ... thanks Andrew and Naznet friends for good birthday wishes.

It's been a different kind of birthday. I have spent the last 2 days at the Gallup Organization in Omaha, NE. I presented 3 times in one day at a 2-day conference, so it was a whirlwind and energizing to this extrovert.

A colleague and I flew back today and I'm home in time for a wonderful dinner that Bill is preparing. I'm told I'm about to eat grilled shrimp, filet mignon, wild rice, salad, Hawaiian rolls, sweet tea and chocolate cake for dessert. I married well!

Andrew came up from Point Loma for the weekend. And, our daughter and son-in-law are represented by the 2 dozen roses they shipped to me. We'll get to see them in a few weeks but it was sweet of them to send such wonderfully fragrant flowers!

I am blessed. And, for the record, I'm proudly 51 today! :) (It looks pretty odd and old when I type it!)

Thanks to all!

Anita -- I had forgotten that you shared a birthday with Lindsey --

Happy Birthday!!!

Dana-- We must both be at a senile age (no comments anyone!). I think every year we are surprised to learn that Lindsey and I share a birthday. And, I never remember it until you point it out.

Maybe ONE of us will remember it next year before learning it by surprise on Naznet! ha!

Meanwhile, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LINDSEY!

Through Facebook, I've learned that a friend and two former students share my birthday. It was a great day to be born -- whatever year!

Yes, I suppose we HAVE reached that age, Anita!! And don't count on remembering it next year, either, my friend!!! LOL

Oh well -- I was up until after 1 a.m. with 11 teenagers and one youth group leader -- who has more energy to be with those teens than anyone I've ever known -- Lindsey had invited all of them to play mini-golf and other games at Golf-N-Stuff, and Bert & I joined them at the end for cake/icecream and lots of pictures. They are a great bunch of kids!
