I just read where the State of Tennessee is sending firefighters with the Dept. of Foresty to help fight the fire in Oklahoma and Texas.
Praying that some of that rain that California has been experiencing will move to Oklahoma and Texas.

Oklahoma and Texas thank Tennessee and other states that have sent/are sending relief firefighters and equipment. There are two firefighters who are members of our church and they have "had it." Weary in body, mind and spirit but determined to fulfill their work and duty. Just a short while ago a school burned in a neighborhood and it was very sad to see it go up in flames.
The Red Cross is very busy and is supplying much water to all the firefighters and other workers. It is a massive effort to even try to contain these fires - much less extinguish them all. The fires have even spread to New Mexico and one was in Arkansas.
SIDE NOTE: Most of these fires have been caused by people being careless (according to the fire department) and some may have been caused by accidents. There has been no bad weather with lightening to cause any of them. I do pray that none of them was begun by malicious intent.
Thanks for your support and your prayers on behalf of all the affected areas.
New Year Blessings,
