... 24-23, USC ... but there's another quarter to go yet ... don't have any particular choice this time ... lived in TX, but also lived in SC [southern California]. ;)

It was the Vince Young show tonight all the way.... Offensive MVP!!!
InVINCEable - His yardage was as Rose Bowl record.
BTW... He's a native Houstonian.
The Eyes of Texas Are Upon You... finally, after 35 years.

A lot of us in Washington were pulling for the Longhorns too.

I was rooting for Texas last night....and wishing for another match-up between them and the Buckeyes! :basic07 Even though they snatched our National Champ plans away, I still didn't want to see USC get a third trophy!
Enjoy!

Great Football Game. I'm still not sure which team I really wanted to win, but I am happy for Mack Brown, he's taken a lot of heat as coach inspite of having some really good years. I also like Pete Carrol, his sideline manners are something all coaches should study, I did question a couple of decisions they made during the game though. Especially not having Reggie Bush on the field for the 4th quarter 4th down play.
Vince Young is an amazing talent, there was never a sense that Texas was out of the game, he made the plays that needed to be played.
And thankfully, no overtimes, so I got to bed at a somewhat reasonable hour.

This is the post I came to NN for ... last night about 12:15am I was so tired, that I tried lying down on the couch to see the rest of the game, wanting to see it to the end, as it was so close.
Well ... a couple of hours later I woke up, never knowing who'd won, because it had been close and I'd fallen asleep! [why didn't the game keep me awake, huh!? ;)] So, I browsed channels this morning, seeing if I could find commentary on the game ... found nothing.
So, figured, "I can go to Naznet later & find out." Sure enough!
Didn't realize, btw, Carmen, that it had been "forever" for TX, and that USC had already gotten a couple of 'em; don't always retain things like that. ;)
