I can't download images with Firefox 1.5. I tried going back to the old Firefox and I still can't do it. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr! I'm finding other things that don't work too. I've tried uninstalling it and redownloading it.

... that site that has those magnificent landscape photos on it from which you've been trying to download? Since that was put on here just a couple of days ago, and I've been there, and tho't some were worth looking at again later, I tried it, too.
'Decided, since it's worked just about everywhere else I've tried, I'd take another look; seems there's a way to post them in such a way that they're not downloadable, due to copyright/buying before using requirements ... even if one wouldn't plan on reaping any $$ from them; they don't know that when they put them there, copyrighted, for profit.
NOW, if this is totally unrelated, and it's somewhere else from which you're trying to download things, well ............ ??? ;)

Usually I can right click on an image and save it to my computer. Now when I do it Firefox locks up and quits responding. I have to end the program. I first noticed it when I tried to save some of those pictures Mark Metcalfe posted of Yosemite. Then I found that it does it for every website. At first I thought I had a setting wrong on my computer someplace. I've looked everywhere I know of but the only thing I have changed is downloading FF 1.5. I have scanned for viruses too. I do that once in a while whether I think I need to or not. I used Norton Go Back and went back to the old FF and my spell checker works again but I still can't download images.

P.S. I just tried saving an image with IE and that works. It has to be something with Mozilla.

I couldn't download programs or anything. I got it fixed finally. I check the Firefox Support forum once in a while. This time I found the answer to my problem. I had to delete a file called "download.rdf" from my Firefox application data folder and the clear my download history manager files. Firefox Support tells how to do it. Now it works without a hitch. Even when it used to work it was very slow, now it is instant. Now I'll have to check and see if they got Spellbound working on the new Firefox yet.

Tell me about it :basic04
However, I understand version 2 will have an inline spell checker.
