Fellow NazNetters

Everyday I receive an encouraging message in my email, from a Christian named Clive. I personally find his words sometimes thought provoking, sometimes encouraging, and thought that perhaps many of you could be blessed with his messages. I've inserted the message I received today... If anyone would be interested in receiving this message daily in their own mailbox, I would gladly ask Clive to add you to the mailing list.

Hello to those who know Messiah.

Ephesians 4:4,5,6 “There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling; (5) One Lord, one faith, one baptism, (6) One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. KJV Bible

As many of you know by now we are currently viewing some of the teachings of Jonathan Cahn (A Messianic Rabbi and Pastor) it’s kind of weird for me seeing a guy who clearly has studied the old Jewish ways, and who even looks like a Jewish Rabbi teaching about Jesus our Savior. In fact the first thing one notices is that the Messianic Jews refer to Jesus (Yeshua in Hebrew) as Messiah. They do not say ‘The Messiah’ they just call Jesus/Yeshua - Messiah. This has boosted my faith increadibly as when one says ‘the Messiah’ it sounds like one is referring to someone (who we might not know personally) by his title, but when one simply says Messiah, it immediately denotes to only one Messiah. Someone whom we already know, and someone whom we know has earned the title and name ‘Messiah’ single-handedly.

Yeshua/Jesus was a Jew whilst here on earth and it had to be so as God planned it that way. He was raised a Jew in a Jewish household. His parents were Jewish. He attended Synagogue. He obeyed all the Jewish customs and knew the Old Hebrew scriptures by heart. We who are not of recent Jewish ancestry can learn a lot from Jewish custom and language, as many things in our bible are more clearly understood when one knows the old custom and the language which Jesus/Yeshua spoke as His ‘mother tongue’. Also the Bible speaks about many events which still need to take place in current day Israel, so the whole Jewish ‘factor’ is not to be neglected. I am not saying that we should follow all Jewish custom, but I am saying that we can learn so much more by having a basic understanding of who Jesus/Yeshua was on earth, where He lived and what He did. How wonderful it is seeing a Rabbi like Jonathan teaching that Jesus is Messiah. When you see it with your own eyes, you get excited at the prospect of all the ‘Christ-likes’ uniting under one banner. No more different churches worshipping Jesus, but rather ONE church under ONE banner, all worshipping ONE MESSIAH - Jesus. Awesome!

Also, the whole Jewish nation is still looking for what we have already found. Messiah. So they place huge emphasis on the term ‘Messiah’ as Messiah is the ONE who will save them, which should help us to place more emphasis on Jesus - Messiah, who has saved us. We often say or pray “dear Lord Jesus ...” and there is nothing wrong with that, but when we refer to him as Messiah and say “Messiah ...” it denotes a different tone, and places more emphasis on the debt we all have to Jesus/Yeshua for what He alone has done for us. The bible says that every knee will eventually bow to Jesus. Every living thing will one day say, “Jesus you are Messiah”. In God’s eyes there is only ONE faith, ONE baptism, and ONE Lord, and we the Christ-likes know Him already, let us live like we know Messiah, and like Messiah is living through us. God bless all Messiah’s people.

Clive.

Excellent point! I have been saying this for years. A couple of years ago, for our Christmas Program at church, we had our kids do a program called Marketplace AD20. This program showed how a typical Jew lived at that time. We also included information about Channukah. Near Easter, we taught the kids about Passover and even had a small Sedar for the kids. Our religion is based on Jewish custom and holidays...and most of us do not have a clue.

Thanks for the article.

Clive's 'Thought for today' for 10 Jan 2006

Romans 8:38,39 “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, (39) Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

It would be my prayer for today, that all who have just read the above scripture verses, would read them again and allow them time to sink into your very soul. Friends, the more Angie and I listen to life’s situations and the more we see what’s going on in the world around us, the more we see how Satan has deceived the minds of the people. The end result is confusion. 99% of all people’s problems (that we have encountered so far this year) can be directly associated with John 10:10 Where Jesus says “The thief (Satan) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:...”. Jesus goes on to say that He (Jesus) has come into our world so that we might have life, and have it more abundantly.

That’s what should be happening in our lives. We should be having a good abundant life. Plentiful, copious, and rich is how the dictionary describes the word abundant, and that means that our lives should be plentiful, copious and rich in every detail. In fact it’s God’s desire to see you happy, joyful and blessed, and not to see you suffer, (however He might allow you to suffer an ordeal in order to steer or guide you towards where He wants you to be), but wherever you find yourself today, one thing is a certainty and that is that Jesus loves you.

It does not matter if you think that you are not a good Christian or person, Jesus still loves you. It does not matter if you have sworn at Him and abused His love toward you, Jesus still loves you. It does not matter if you are addicted to drugs or in sexual sin, or a thief or whatever it is you are doing or have done – JESUS STILL LOVES YOU. It also does not matter if you think that you can or cannot pray properly. It does not matter what past you have had. It does not matter how this year has begun. It does not even matter if you don’t posses a bible and have no knowledge of it, Jesus still loves you and nothing can separate His love for you.

Satan has lied to the people for so long that their own minds now deceive them. They think all sorts of confused and distorted thoughts, as they have been deceived. Jesus says that He is the good shepherd who gave His life for His sheep. Nowhere on Earth has it ever been recorded that satan or any false god has given his/her life for you and I, only the one true Messiah has given His life for you and I. Friends, Jesus loves you, and is so madly in love with you, that he wants you to live an abundant life. Take His hand in yours today and walk with Him into a great life. Try not be side-tracked by other thoughts, just trust Him, He will take you into a plentiful and copious and rich life. God bless you.
Clive.
