Michael and I truly enjoyed this children's book. We listened to it on audio on a trip to Kansas.
It's about the life of a porcelain rabbit. He gets lost from his first owner and has a long adventurous life.
One of many things I liked about the story is that we have all as children lost toys, or we have grown up and no longer have a favorite toy from our childhood. It's nice to think someone else got to play with them and that they didn't disappear from earth, but just from our lives.

Oh, and it's so much more than just a lost toy story. I love the lessons he learns along the way.

I haven't read this one, but I do enjoy Kate DiCamillo - thanks to my wonderful English teacher wife!

Kate DiCamillo is perhaps one of my favorite authors and I LOVE this story in particular. The artwork in the book is fantastic and the story is beautiful yet simple. I've read passages of it to my middle school students (even though it's below their reading level) and they LOVE it! I would recommend this book to any parent of elementary school students.
