This is a reprint by Hendrickson Publishers of a Christian Classic which is from "The Works of John Wesley" edited by Thomas jackson, first published in 1872. I had purchased it at a local Christian bookstore for the purpose to coming to a clearer understanding of what John Wesley originally set forth and defended as "the doctrine of Christian Perfection." Much of the book is as it was last revised by Wesley himself in 1777. The preface does a good job of providing background to Wesleys life and I whole-heartedly recommend this text to those who would seek to understand the origins and implications of this doctrine. This text remains to this day very well presented and quite succint at just 126 pages. A must read for those who would aspire to an informed opinion of this doctrine. (It could lead to an awesome discussion thread.)
