Your birthday has arrived and again I am unable to be with you to share in the celebration. I know this is nothing new. You were three days old before I received the Red Cross message informing me of your birth and five months old before I had the opportunity to see and hold you.

I know you are very busy and hope you have the opportunity to read this greeting prior entering "harms way." I am praying for you and your soldiers safety.
