It seems that depending on whom a person hears talking, the economy is either OK, just going through a difficult time, or it is on the brink of disaster.

Unfortunately, a lot of the stuff he talks about I am simply unfamiliar with at this time. I'm wondering if anyone (perhaps Dave M.) has any thoughts on the current economic situation and possible outlooks.
For instance, the article says stuff that is seeming to question the intelligence of mutual funds. Aren't a lot of the Nazarene Pension plans invested in mutual funds? Should we who are invested in Fidelity's retirement plan for ministers be concerned?
