Top Clinton Fundraiser Endorses McCain (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080917/ap_on_el_pr/mccain_clinton_backer)
"I believe that the McCain-Palin government will be a centrist government," Rothschild said. "It's not going to be an ideological government."
I'm sure she [Hillary] is not pleased with what I'm doing today," she said. "But you know what? I have to do what I believe in."

So is this a plus or a minus for Sen. McCain?

We'll see but I think that it speaks to at least some "Hillary Supporters" of the kind that people said would never vote for McCain. Apparently, some of them will. The level of this person from the Hillary camp, I think, is significant also - because it got press (where many other would not).

Just saw her interviewed by Greta Van Susteren. Very impressive. I'll look for it on Youtube and post it when available.
Here is video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDIsCBrtfxU) of Wolf Blitzer interviewing her on CNN.

I keep reading the title of this thread and mixing up the words "McCain" and "over" in my mind.
It reads: Top Clinton Fund Raiser Backs Over McCain, Obama
I keep thinking there is a crazed Hillary supporter out there taking out Presidential nominees with her car.

I had also read about John Coale, the big Democrat fund raiser, Hillary supporter, Clinton family friend, and husband of Greta Van Susteren who also has switched to McCain/Palin.
Until now, I had not found a video interview. Here is a short video interview (http://www.hyscience.com/archives/2008/09/breaking_promin.php) with Newsweek embedded in a story about Rothschild. Just scroll down a bit. Very informative.

Her interview with Greta (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPHbd7kt0Ws) finally made it to Youtube. It's only 3 minutes and worth the watch.
