I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions to fix or work with some photos. I just got married a few weeks ago and a friend of ours took a lot of pictures they gave us, some incredible shots, but they didn't know how to work their camera and took everything in the 460x380 resolution so whenever we try to print the pictures they come out looking so pixelated. Some of these shots are priceless to look at on the computer but we aren't sure if there is a way we can print them for an album, any ideas?

I hate to tell you...
Once a digital photograph is made you cannot improve the resolution.
The maximum print size I'd even attempt would be 4 X 6" given the small file size.
Computer monitors show much less resolution, so you could view the images larger than 4 X 6" (the old standard was 72dpi, which has given way to 96dpi).
Someone may tell you that you can adjust the resolution to a higher level...
Think of it this way... the file size is 2MB... you print that file as a 4 X 6" picture... now you want to print the picture as an 8 X 10"... you still only have the same 2MB file to fill the print area....
By adjusting the resolution higher you're just spreading out the information that exists (2MB) into a larger file...
If you have additional questions feel free to contact me.

Thanks for the info Jon, we tried printing 4x6 and the quality was pretty poor.
They look decent on the computer so I guess we will have to cherish that.
Once again thanks for your information.

Darren,
You may want to consider making a DVD wedding album....
Although the file size wouldn't allow a large picture size you could be creative and place the pictures on background images...
I've done this in the past with images that were too small for good prints...
Just something to consider,
Jon
