The Smells of Autumn

Here in Tennessee, Autumn is here. The trees are beginning to change colors. I made pumpkin bars yesterday and the smell permeated the house.. I love it.

I just made apple jelly with cinnamon and cloves. Smell is divine. Don't know how it will taste, seal or jell and the mess in the kitchen and on myself is a bit much...but the smell!:smilies1694:

I have thought about picking some apples but instead just bought a couple of ready picked pecks. Also this fall enjoyed delicious sweet cider, two gallons, not all at one time, but rather continuously. I have thought about baking some apple crisp. I can almost smell it cooking. I can see the French Vanilla Ice Cream melting over the hot scoops of apples. Perhaps tomorrow.
