Philadelphia won again yesterday, extending their overall record to 4-2. Much is being made today on national sports outlets (and even more so on the Philly beat) of the apparent quarterback controversy Andy Reid has on his hands. He seems committed to starting Vick, but I'm not really holding my breath on that. At yesterday's press conference, the media could not pin him down, and he even suggested he'd like to start "Michael Kolb" this Sunday.
I am not concerned about who starts the game as much as I am with who finishes it. Kolb and Vick are each 2-0 when they start games and complete them. The Eagles are 0-2 if one starts and the other has to finish (and something like 0-4 in games where Kolb has come off the bench). In my opinion, the problem in Philly is that neither QB can really execute a game planned for the other.

Vick's injury really should have him out another week or two - just to be at his best. Philly's just lucky Kolb seems to be coming into his own; they won't have to rush Vick back.

Indeed this is a good controversy to have. I can think of a lot of NFL teams that would like to have either one of them at this point. The Cleveland Browns could really use one of these guys. But then, Cleveland has a way of ruining careers so maybe that's not a good idea.

Colt McCoy's going to be good... in two or three years... if they can get him off the field. Please don't be the next Tim Couch.
