Does anyone know a website that will check your DSL speed? I know how fast it is supposed to be, but I want to see if it is, in fact, how fast it is working.

Thanks,
Cindi H.

You could send it to the NFL Scouting combine. They will check its speed (time it in the 40-yard dash), as well as strength (bench press, leg press, maybe some others) and vertical jump.

Interesting ... things must move much easier "down" that "up." You see, your speeds are about 100x mine in the download, but just about 1.8x mine in the upload. Hmmmmmm ....

It's the download that makes a difference, apparently, with DSL [or do you have something else?]. Boy! That sounds good ... less time waiting for pages, therefore being able to read them sooner, and not wasting so much time waiting on DL of whatever to see/read.

There's supposed to be a package deal re phone service here; thinking that perhaps DSL, coupled with the regular phone service, and then my cell being Cingular/AT&T now, too [AT&T just took back SBC--home phone], that it might be no more to *go for* DSL than to have the separate home service, cell phone service, and then another slow dial-up deal!

Yes, it's nearly 04 February, the last day I have this one dial-up service that was paid for for a year. Since Eudora worked with another one I was trying long ago, but didn't get ... and then hasn't been working at all since I was with this one ... wondering about switching, but if DSL would be as little as dial-up, by the time there's a combined bill, rather than three separate ones, well ......................

Don't have much time to decide/find out details($$) re this item, as time seems to fly. February 4 will be here before we know it! Let's see ... it's the 19th, right? That means 16 days ... barely a bit more than two weeks! YIPES!! Any suggestions???

Thanks!

Actually, Gina, it is the other way around. SBC is the one who bought AT&T, but decided to take on the new name. It is probably one of the most recognized names in the business world today.

... to the details. Not much of a "detail" person, I guess ... except when it comes to arranging music, etc ... then sometimes, it can be tedious putting to paper what I hear in my head! ;)
