Conservative Harper vs. Liberal Martin
The only real question appears to be whether the Conservative Party will win by a large enough margin to govern without coalition partners.
Martin has mainly campaigned on the theme that Harper is a right-wing extremist lackey of the U.S. His party has been in power for most of the last century, and for the last 13 years without a break. His administration has been plagued by scandal.
Harper has focused on a very few popular positions and worked hard not to confirm the charges of extremism, promising only a few incremental changes and that he would root out corruption. He lost to Martin in the last election, a few years ago, but is credited with running a basically error free campaign this time.
So, what website is my best bet for early election returns and predictions tonight?
