My daughter and son-in-law are in charge of the youth at our church. About a week and a half ago my son-in-law went to a sneak preview and meeting for youth workers. There is going to be a lot of material available for youth workers and sunday school teachers that goes along with "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe" Movie. I can't give you any specifics because I wasn't there and I don't remember what all my son-in-law said.

P.S. I'm at work and I don't have a spell checker on this computer.

All I can say is that I am very, very jealous of your son-in-law. I've been waiting for this movie for years. Of course, I had see the old one put out by some British movie-maker, but it was a sad representation of the book. I can't wait until December 9th.

I read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, years ago when I was in school and was totaly amazed with the story.

I didn't know then that it was in a series called Chronicles of Narnia.

This summer, I read all the books - All I can say was it was amazing. Especially when I read the last book.

But what doesn't suprise me is the way the story can be used.

Years ago I ran a kids group called 'Kids Group' - in a very unpoplular area of Toronto.

We watched a version of the movie and the kids caught on the connection of Christ as Aslan. These were not church kids whats so ever.
They thought it was so cool to see the witch destroyed and that Aslan was there to protect everything in Narnia.

Even more suprising was that He showed up when he was really needed and the children didn't call him.

The story has so muich potential in sharing about Christ!!!

Hey if you have materials that could be sent up here to Toronto - It would be great if you could send me a copy.

I will be taking about 6-10 kids to see the movie!!!

Being able to share other information with these kids would be great. Over burgers & pizza.

They do not go to church and I am not sure if any would. So far they haven't when I have invited them.

So it looks like we have to come to them!! Gee.... Someone did that with my family when I refused to leave the building I lived it, almost 22 yrs ago.
