Okay, I am trying to learn this new forum one step at a time. Here is my next step.

When I open a thread, the post subjects are in one of these forms:

Black
Black and Bold
Blue
Blue and Bold
Also, in the left column is an envelope in one of these forms:

Blue
Red
Red and open
Red with an arrow
Manila and open
Now, what do all of these mean? Is there a place on the site or elsewhere on the internet where I can read about what these mean?

Also, in the left column is an envelope in one of these forms:
Blue - Regular Post
Red - Hot Post (Has more than a certain # of posts/views, I believe 50)
Red and open - Hot post with new replies
Red with an arrow - Hot post in which you have posted a reply
Manila and open - Regular post with new repliesNow, what do all of these mean? Is there a place on the site or elsewhere on the internet where I can read about what these mean?
As far as the text, this is only a theory, but the blue text are links you may have visited. I believe the black ones are ones you have not visited, or they were cleared from your browsers cache. Bold usually means there are new posts.

Hope this helps,
Gregory L. Edwards

I found the symbol meanings at the bottom of the page, but now I need to know what a "hot" thread is.

Hi,

A post becomes hot when it has been viewed a certain # of times. Or there are a certain number of replies. But mostly it is the views that make it how. I believe that 50 is the magic number.

Hope this helps,
