I began this family tradition for the 2007 calendar year, using pictures from my digital with the assembly process accomplished at my FAV store - Staples. 8-)
I was given notice that first Christmas that I was to continue this task each and every year, and I've done that.
So here's the 2011 Edition - already assembled.

Very nice.
You did good, Sir NEB. Your family should be proud of you. Quite a nice personal gift for them.

I keep saying I'm going to do that, but so far I haven't found time to dig through all the photos and actually DO it. Beautiful, Nelson!!

I say anyone can do this, and it's quite easy with Staples help. For the first 2 years I simply took them the pictures on a CD and the family BD and Anniversary info type out and had them post the names on the proper dates and print/assemble etc.
IF I recall correctly they cost me less than $15 and were a tremendous surprise to/for the family.
But ever since I've printed the pages myself and taken them to the local Staples store for assembly....and they charge $2.99 for that service. I'm rather certain, including my cost for ink and paper, I'm producing these for approx $7.00 each.
A very worthwhile and non-expensive year-long gift for my family. I highly recommend it.

great job! I've already made my presents for my relatives [homemade jam and jelly] but will have to keep this in mind for next year.
