Next Sunday, Linda and I will celebrate our 40th anniversary. Guess what I got her?
Obviously, she will get some roses too.

You're a romantic soul, Dave!
Before I saw the picture, I thought it would be a pair of hiking boots :basic03
Congratulations!

WOW! NICE! Hey, Linda ... wanna trade!? I've got an '86 Bronco II. ha!
Very nice anniversary gift ... hope I don't have to wait until any 40th (if I've ever an anniversary again, to start with) to get something like that. That '86 is already gettin' up there! ;)
NOOO?!? Did I hear you say, "NO!" Linda? Oh, dear! Haven't found anyone yet willing to trade my Bronco for whatever they have. :p
Here's are some cool lilies for you, Linda (stole Mark M's picture ;))!
Let's see ... Sunday is 12th ... oops! Yet more folks who married in February ... and I had to bring up something in another thread re why anyone would marry in February! Oh, well ... y'all got married where it's a little warmer than here, I'd guess ... Texas, right? ;)

I think I'd get her a slightly used walking stick.

And I thought that you'd buy her a new lens for your camera.
"Hon, would you hand me the 'Linda' lens?"
Seriously, though, you bought her a car dealership? :fav18

I have until August to figure out what to get Tina for our 15th anniversary. We took an Alaskan cruise for our 10th and she didn't know what the plan was until the night before we left.

Dave,
Its beautiful (Linda and the Lexus). :)
I just purchased my first SUV (not a Lexus - a Kia) and I love it. I think its about the same size as the Lexus. I love "sitting up" and seeing things.
I hope she enjoys it.
Congrats on 40 years together. Do you plan on 40 more? I hope so!

Gina -
I know that picture is not for me, but star gazer lilies are my FAVORITE flower. My dad planted a couple in his backyard, so I get them every year. I do love them. ;)

....I feel fortunate!! I bought Mary a new diamond ring for our 40th.....and will spend years paying for it. I'm just glad I'm not having to pay for the Lexus!!
Great gift , Dave.

It should be ruby red....since ruby is the stone for the 40th. Maybe you need to add a ruby ring, too.

Sara,
Next time your visiting your dad in the fall just dig up the plant and remove a section of the plant bulb. That plant is made to be divided. Then just replant the part you took at your house.

That's OK. Do a "save" ... and you can look at them even in the winter. ;)
Love that bright color ... yet it reminds me of the tiger lilies ... different color, but same sort of design.
PS * Didn't realize, Sara, that your Kia was an SUV. Cool! Wouldn't mind replacing my Bronco II if I ever do get a chance with another one. After getting used to sitting "up there," borrowing mom's low car just seems like I'm sitting so low!

She has been driving my company car, a Lexus, for the past 10 years. It was a '93 model. I decided it was about time to get a new one. If she gets 13 years out of this one, we will get our money's worth.

I guess it's a good thing some of us have four or five years before we have to match it. By then, old timers' will let us forget what it was.
It might help the rest of us if you'd also get her a new blender, or something romantic like that. Then we could say we got our wives a gift just like you got your Linda.
Why do I think I'm going to be in trouble?

WEll that is absolutely out of this world.!!!
Now George gave me a Honda Accord for Christmas. It reminds me of my days helping Daddy, driving the tractor. We acknowledge every bump. :):)
