Does anyone know when and where the next NLC is to take place? I believe the previous one (the 10th?) was in 2002 in Nashville.
Are there any plans afoot for the next one?
How frequently do they occur?
Thanks! :basic01

My son-in-law, Jib Felter, was a member of the NLC Committee when it last met. He tells me that David Graves, Director of Sunday School Ministries, the sponsor of past NLC's, has decided for now not to schedule another NLC. The NLC Committee has not met since the Nashville NLC.
Last year, at the Leadership Conference, there was some discussion of having an NLC Cruise. I don't know what came of that discussion. I have heard nothing else.

Was the Laymen's conference meant primarily for Laymen or was it also for Pastor's? I'll be honest, I attended a few of the things, but found mostly pastors (ran in to at least 2 former pastors and many from college who are now in full-time ministry). I was never quite sure who the audience was supposed to be.
I think a Ministry Conference directed to both Laymen and Pastors would be a great idea. We are all working together. (I hope). :) Something similiar to the services and workshops and hall that is at GA, but without the politics (voting)........

Bingo!! "M7" is in the planning stage. I don't remember where it is to be, but it will be a Ministry Conference directed to both Laymen and Pastors. There will be no voting.
As for pastor's attending the "Laymen's Conference", they were specifically invited. Three NLC's ago, we did not have enough attendees to meet the guarantee to the Conference Center. As a result, we had a $60,000 debt that carried over ton the next NLC. The Hotel in Orlando agreed to carry the $60,000 if we would come back for the next one. As time for the conference was getting close, we were very far behind on reservations. The NLC Committee decided to open the event to clergy so that we could meet the guarantees to the hotel. It worked well enough that clergy were invited to the next one too.
