Bread in freezer = 4 (still not enough???)
candles = at least 50
C size batteries = 20
D size batteries = 15 (oh no odd number need to go and find one more)
bottles of water = 24
Peanut butter = 2 unopened jars, 1 opened 1/4 used up
Jelly = Same as peanut butter
Cookies = 2 dozen (whoops not enough cookies)
Gas for snowblower = container full
Snowblower = broken
what else am I missing?:basic05

Two jars (any size) is only a 4 day supply at my house

That is what sons are for.
Lori, what kind of wimp New Englander are you? They are predicting only a max
of a foot of snow. I expect to see you in church on Sunday!
Mark
P.S. Lori and I are friends, who attend the same church; her daughter
and my son have been dating each other for 2.5 years. Therefore...
I can call her a wimp New Englander.

Mark, I don't mind being called a wimp, because everyone knows that wimp stands for Women In Maximum Power
And I will be at church on Sunday... remember I'm the one who drives a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4 wheel drive... and you drive a what? We'll probably be the ones to come and rescue you after your cruiser gets stuck in the snow.:basic05 :bannana

Lori, as I said to a high school classmates wife when they were being evacuated due to a forest fire approaching their condo while I was in town during a class reunion, "How about your meds?" And I like Joel Merrill's suggestion that you quickly obtain tickets to Arizona although at Sun Valley we are not in the lower valley where it is already approaching 80 for highs but we have highs now in the 60s and will be glad to have you come for a stay as a volunteer until the storm blows out to sea.

It is times like this that Linda and I miss New England. We worked in the yard all day -- nice, sunny and warm. It has now been four days since it has rained in Washington!!!
Still, we miss the snow. ENC is the only place we have ever lived where it snowed a lot without me having to plow or shovel.

It's snowing in Bynum, Alabama right now!!! YEAH!!!! This is the first snow I've seen in years!
The good thing about snow in the South is that it is here today and gone tomorrow!

You can have our Michigan snow when more comes ... there were several days without any, and then a couple of nights ago, it started again.
How anyone can miss it ... I'm not sure. 'Guess you have to go years without it to "miss" it. As for me, I definitely liked the out-west sort of snow best ... it was waaaaay up the mountain. You could go spend a couple of days in it, then come back down to warmth ... not yet more snow ... and for months!! ;)

My sister has lived in the Phoenix area since the 70's. When my folks had their accident in 2001, she came out for a week to help. We got 4 or 5 inches one night. She was so happy! She said she prayed that it would snow while she was here. Dad had a snow blower and I went over to blow the snow and she has shoveled all the walks, even the ones around the side of the house. My sister has lived in Arizona for so long that she didn't have a winter coat anymore so she borrowed a coat from my niece. My niece was then all happy and excited that her mom got real snow on her coat.

Church has been canceled all over Massachusetts and other places New England. It really is a timing matter, because we plow out roads pretty
well. I'll go out later this afternoon to make my first pass on the driveway.
Not complaining because it will be 45 degrees by Wednesday.

Agreed. It's all about the timing. We cancelled our services, primarily because we knew that it would be pretty bad right when people needed to leave church to go home. Most of us could have made it to church, it didn't actually start snowing in full force until around 8:30. But it's pretty heavy now, and I'm glad I don't have church members travelling home (many drive 30 minutes or more) this afternoon.
(It's pretty windy out too...my wife and I have enjoyed watching the birds come out to the feeders--we always make sure to fill them before a storm hits, we must have had 40-50 sparrows, finches, juncos, and chicadees--with a couple of cardinals thrown in for good measure.)
Stay safe!

I just made the first pass on snow removal and blew about a foot or so
from the driveway. It is still snowing. Before I did, I did a circuit around
my house with the camera. Enjoy!

Mark, thanks for sharing the photos. I love snow and those photos show how beautiful the snow is. Of course, living in Tennessee, I can say I love snow because I only see it once every two or three years now. We were suppose to have gotten 3-5 inches of snow from this weather system, but Nashville was spared; although every place surrounding Nashville got some snow.
