It's December so it's time to change the fall pictures to winter pictures for our dining room wall. Two of these will be changed after Christmas to two more winter scenes, until we put up SPRING scenes, my FAV season of the year.

there are, at present, nine of my digitals on display in our home. I am very thankful and blessed.
HOWEVER, if all goes as planned, before the sun sets tomorrow - Sat 12/4 - there should be ten - yippee!!
Stay tuned - if interested.

This one brings back memories of "back home" in Michigan. It's tugging at my heartstrings.
By the way, I love the bikes, too! You have such an exceptionally good eye.

to take down - put away - the Christmas pics and add two other wintry scenes which will stay in place until Spring - my FAV season of the year.
With my bride's help we got that done yesterday - the final day of 2010.

Pic A - Grand Prairie United Methodist Church - I LOVE this pic - tiz one of my 4,792 favorites. 8-) It was sub-zero day - mid Jan several years ago - but bright and sunny and I really needed/wanted to get out and take some pics. I went into a farm field across the road from this church, down through a ditch, snow up to my knees - to capture this scene.
Did I mention it's one of my favorite scenes?

Pic B - ice n holly bush - one of the employees of the hospital where I volunteer, knowing I love taking pictures, told me about this bush outside her window or I never would have seen it. As soon as I looked I knew I had to grab my old Kodak from inside the car and do my best to get close enough to get one or two fairly good pics.
Once I got home and saw this scene on my monitor - full size - I was blown away. The ice had "captured" so many of the berry clusters and even the tiny branches were covered with ice.
God's marvelous handiwork...in the middle of the winter.
I love Him.
