Well the stage is set my friends!

This is shaping up to be an epic title game. Oregon and Auburn are both extremely potent offensively. These teams can make scoring 50+ points look easy. Yet both teams have looked beatable this year. Particularly, Auburn against Alabama and Oregon against Cal.

Any predictions? Who wins the title and why?

I love the Oregon Ducks (I live in Oregon), but I see a very tough match-up here. I am going to say the first team to score 40 points wins. Both QBs are dual threats. Bottom line: its going to take one heck of a defensive effort to stop Cam Newton. Moreover, Auburn will have their hands full with Oregon's fast paced running game featuring LaMichael James and Kenjon Barner.

If Auburn plays like they did tonight, they'll win easily. They haven't played like this any other time this year, so I suspect it will be a close, high scoring game.

The full month off will have a negative effect on both teams, but more so on Auburn I think.

Oregon wins 45-37.

I think, at this point, I'll be rooting for Oregon, but we'll see how I feel when January 10th rolls around.

I don't know enough about Oregon to make an informed decision. But as I think the SEC is stronger than the PAC 10 (and Newton is a phenom) I'm going to think that Auburn pulls it out and wins.
