Looks cool. I don't know when I'll use it... probably the next time I want to email a large file to someone. If I remember. :)

Personally, I need more than "This is nice:" to follow a link that obscure. Maybe it's just the anti-antivirus software side of me coming out. I don't take chances on links.

I'm on a MacBook Pro, so I don't worry much about viruses. So I clicked the link. :)
Here's what it says on their About page:
What is it?
Ge.tt is a real-time file sharing service. But what is it really and what can you use it for? Let's try to explain it a bit.
Real-time sharing
No need to wait for files to upload. They are ready to be shared as soon as you select them! It really is that easy. It's file sharing in an instant.
Real-time statistics
You have shared some photos on, say Twitter, and you want to know how popular they are. With ge.tt you get real-time statistics that tells you exactly how many who has downloaded them. It's a great way to keep track of your own popularity.
No requirements
Some services require you to download a plugin or a program before you can use them. Ge.tt is based solely on browser technologies and works directly in your browser. No flash required. No applet needed. No installation before you're ready to go.
No filled up mailbox
Ever tried to have an email rejected because the attachment was too large? So have we. It's quite annoying. With ge.tt you can send the shared files on an email directly from the website. And if you create an account the recipient will have the option to reply directly to you.
API
It is our intention that everyone should be able to use our service in whatever way they see fit. We are working hard on making an API available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any ideas or you want know more about this.

Another thing to try in the future, if you're cautious about a link, is to Google it. In this case, Googling "ge.tt" (with the quotes, since Google ignores the period) pulls up several recent reviews of the service.

Sorry, Marsha. I should have listed more.
In addition to what Rich suggested, many browsers have an add-on that bring up a preview of links when hovering over them without actually having to click on them.

Personally, I don't care for those kinds of add-ons. Besides being annoying, each of those pop-ups would show as a "visit" on my Covenant Eyes accountability report. I don't need that kind of pain. :)
