If I weren't already on that list, I would make sure to register once I saw all the fine people who will be there. Imagine, beautiful New Hampshire in the fall, good conversation, fine fellowship, and even a bit of controversy. Who could ask for more?

I've officially declined the event invitation on Facebook. I'd like to think something will miraculously happen to allow me to come, but at this point, with our move this summer and some other planned trips it's going to be too much.

It is possible, but not without paying something due to Windsor Hills' regulations. Send me an e-mail.

Just a quick note:
It's not too late to register! I hope I didn't imply that somehow above. This thread is posted in hopes that MORE people register. In fact, if no one else does, the whole thing will be in serious jeopardy of happening. To be clear, as of right now, you can register months from now, but for much higher rates. However, as I already said, we need more people pretty soon to be able to ensure our ability to pay the minimum requirement for Windsor Hills.
Here are the rates, which go up on the first of May. To get the current rates, you need to register and pay a downpayment.
Early Registration (before 1st of May):
2 nights - $130
3 nights - $160
4 nights - $190
Registration (1st of May or after)
2 nights - $150
3 nights - $180
4 nights - $210
Late Registration (1st of August or after):
2 nights - $170
3 nights - $200
4 nights - $230

It would except that with all that I've learned from right-wing NazNetters, I doubt you could convince me that the birth certificate is authentic.

Kaza,
We are trying to figure out a way for Esther to work it into her schedule to come. She really wants to be there, but it would use up all of her time off of school for the entire year, and that is not a good idea so early in the year.

This event is rushing at us, now. Regarding foliage, we will be a little early, and due to a dry season predictions are a little less colorful fall. Last weekend I was at the lake in northwest Vermont, and trees that traditionally turn early - swamp maples - had yet to change. We will have color, but peak season will likely be a couple weeks later. I'm getting excited about our gathering.

Jeremy, would you please post the retreat schedule and a list of those attending?
An email with some details and schedule has been sent out to all who have registered and down-paid. Sorry for the email, but I have forgotten the distinguishment between who has and hasn't given me permission to publicly post their presence at the retreat.
There are a number of people who have said/implied that they are coming. Just to note - if you did not get an email from me today and you believe that you are coming, it that means that:
1. You registered on the online form, but never sent in any payment; or
2. I have the wrong email address for you; or
3. Perhaps it went to your spam folder. Check there; or
4. I made some other mistake. :-)
We're not meaning to exclude anyone, so if you're planning on showing up next week and didn't get an email, please contact me ASAP so we can see where we went wrong. :-)
I'm greatly looking forward to our time together.

Hey all, I'm responsible for coordinating a group event of some variety on Sunday afternoon for about 2.5 hours. I've never been to the camp there, so if anyone has any ideas of what we can do (even if it's off the campgrounds and we need to drive a bit) please let me know.
Kazimiera Fraley
September 20th, 2010, 07:20 PM
We could go canoeing, hiking but 2.5 hours is not a very long hike; We can all go visit the local Nazarene Pastor in Henniker - I am sure he would love it if we all just dropped by ;)
Um Petersborough, NH is nice and not too far away, for that Matter there is a nice little bakery and stuff like that in Hillsborough. You know who you should ask - Melissa DeBono.

Also within an hour drive is the Canterbury Shaker Village. That is open through October. www.shakers.org

Kevin. Pack long sleeves. Always. Even in August in can be chilly. October can be winter!
I do know the area well, but something tells me the demographic won't be in to antique shopping as a bonding experience! There is a rustic trail ON the camp ground to a pretty unique geological formation that might be just the right length of a hike for 2.5 hours. I might be the only one attending that could get you there, and I'd be willing. But, that might be better suited to a group of 5 or 6. I don't know if there are enough canoes to accomodate the whole group at the same time. Let me think a little more about suggestions.

I've always marvelled that said restaurant has lasted that long, in Hillsboro. I disagree with Ryan, because I've had a number of good meals there: almost all of them have been good. Hillsboro, NH, just isn't the first community I'd think of for a great Chinese food. San Pan, I believe is its name.

Just saying 'Hello' from the nearby McD's. John Reilly and I slipped out after supper to check email and such.
Retreat is going well... wonderful times of discussion... and opportunities for learning more about the people (and hearts) behind the internet postings. It's been a time of great fun... sharing of experiences, and even some good food (though the coffee leaves a little to be desired!)
Thanks for your prayers! The retreat wraps up on Monday, though some will be slipping out earlier to attend to other responsibilities.
