Curious about Christmas gifts for people who perform tasks...like hair dresser, house cleaner, cook, postal service...

I believe the mail carrier has a $20 limit.

I'm curious about caretakers for the elderly, someone who comes into the home. Is there an appropriate amount?

I read somewhere that for nannies an appropirate gift amount is equal to a week's salary (in cash, of course). That sounds appropriate for caretakers as well.
