This is a great story, it was featured on ESPN last night as well as several network news programs.

He is the same height I was when I was basketball and football student manager/waterboy in high school at Chelan, WA. I was just coming off several bouts with rheumatic fever when as a sports lover I signed on for the job of "taking care of the team." The doctor did let me play baseball. Mother took a pastorate in a small town along the Columbia River before my senior year and so I got to play basketball there because there were 15 in the high school and I made the starting 5 on a team of 8. In one game I played every minute of a double overtime game which we won 64-62 over Bickleton, WA.
