likes the combination I found in a cookbook, ginger ale with tomato juice?

Hmmm ... trying to imagine that ... tomato with sweetness/fizz added. Definitely would think they might mean the Canada Dry variety of ginger ale rather than Vernors ... it's less pungently ginger, and a bit less sweet even, I think, so that might not be too bad.

Never tried it. But it does remind me of an excellent punch that I am going to try and post.

Tami, you will never know until you try it. I had the same reaction when I first saw it but now I will hardly take tomato juice any other way.

Exactly! I have a rule... I try everything once. No matter how ridiculous.

Yes, I do like to be adventuresome when it comes to eating ... one might miss something that tastes great by not trying something at least once. ;)

I actually tried this today! It made the tomato juice ALMOST tolerable. Almost.

I won't try it again.

If you don't like tomato juice to begin with, there's probably not much you can add that'll make you like it. I LOVE tomato juice with a little salt added.
