Last Saturday we had a missions banquet called "foreign food fair". We 7 food tables each one representing the 7 different regions of the Nazarene world. Here are some from SA, NA and Africa.

The South America centerpieces I got at Ten Thousand Villages which is a fair trade store nearby. And our speaker, Brian Utter brought some items too since he had lived in Argentina at one time.

The last table is from the Caribbean region.

I have included three dishes from the South American Region. Caramel Empanadas, Brigadeiros and Argentinean Empanadas. The Brigadeiros are chocolate balls from Brazil and are
to die for!!!!!!! What makes the empanadas Argentinean is the addition of olives and raisins to the cooked meat.

SUPER!
I wonder if even some of the Concerned Nazarenes would come back to us if they could go to a church like this?!!!

Ah, well....we play rock music for church, don't believe in the inerrancy of the whole Bible and the pastor is definitely Wesleyan and not Reformed. So, probably not....but they'd sure would enjoy the food!
