Lindsey is at Youth Group tonight.
The girls surely do miss her when she goes somewhere. That's about the only time I get their undivided attention; they come to me asking "where's our Lindsey???"
Don't they look sad????? LOL

Awwwwww....
My daughter's cat is the same way. Kristen can hold her, cuddle her, do whatever she wants with her, but the rest of us can barely get her to be civil. When Kristen isn't here, the poor cat is miserable.
Aren't pets great? :)

Awww, they don't look too excited, do they? They look like a couple of pouty puppies just lollin' around. Very cute picture ........... ;)

Brinx always looks sad when Leisha is going back to University. He seems to know what the backpack in the foyer means.

My first impression when reading the subject line was that Lindsey was MISSING. Sorry 'bout that.
Those two do look like they are missing Lindsey, though.
Thanks.
Cute pic.

oops! It's funny how we get those impressions from the post titles. When Scott posted something like "amazed by Ebay again" every time I saw that title, for a brief second I would think it said "amazed by Ebony again." HA HA Even after I had seen it many times, that thought would pass through my head briefly!! HA HA

Well, wasn't Ebony "amazing" in her show videos? ;)

They are very perceptive. All I have to do is pick up my keys and Ebony is ready to go on a car ride with us. If I have to say "go kennel, Ebony," she hangs her head and obliges, but reluctantly.
We took her to my client's office last week -- I peeked in and asked him if all the patients had gone, and he said yes. Then I walked in with Ebony, who was an instant hit. He said "my patients would love her." So next time I'll take her during office hours!!

Isn't it funny how attached we get to our pets. I would be lost now without Daisy and Doodles. I can just imagine how active those two are going to get when Lindsey walks through that door.

Dana,
Have you gone to see "Eight Below" yet? We went last week and my youngest daughter and I cried quite a bit! It's a good movie for dog lovers to see. Since we have a Husky, it meant a little more to us. Go see it if you haven't!

Dan and I went to see "8 Below" just last nite. I loved it. It made you laugh and it made you cry and in one scene it made me squeal and hide my eyes. And Beth I'm sure you know the scene that made me jump out of my skin and hide my eyes. And boy did I boo-hoo at the end, yeah Dan laughed at me.

Well, I think that they need to start rating movies by the "tear" factor.
5 hankie being a real tear-jerker!!!
Yes, I know the scene you are talking about. I hid my eyes also!!!! It's a good test of the health of your heart!
It was a wonderful movie!!

Yes, Lindsey & I went to see it and blubbered through the movie......LOL
This movie was very loosely inspired by a true story. The movie takes place in 1993, but the REAL story took place in the late 50s. And they didn't use siberian huskies, they had another kind of husky that I can't remember the name right now. But, Disney being Disney, they wanted the most beautiful dogs!! LOL
For one thing, a Husky would never have followed orders to go back to camp for help!! HA HA HA IF you set a Husky free to go back to camp for help, that Husky would take a deep breath and yell "I'm FREEEEEEEEEE" and never come back again!!! HA HA HA
Anyway, it was a sweet movie.
Beth, do you have a picture of your Husky? We'd love for you to post one!! What's her/his name? You've seen pictures of our Ebony, I'm sure -- she is half Siberian Husky and half Akita. That husky independence is seen in her personality, for sure!
So, picture of HUSKY coming up, right?????

Leisha and I are unsure about going to see that movie because, as we understand it, not all of the dogs survive. I am not sure I could handle that.
I heard on the radio that it is a woman in Ontario who owns six of the dogs that starred in the movie. At least I THINK that's what I heard.
But one of the dogs had been rescued in pretty bad shape before he went on to become a star :)

OK, Beth, I have now searched through your gazillion pictures that you have on your signature line -- and I can't find ONE picture of the dog.
SURELY there's one in there SOMEWHERE!!! Waiting.....

Yes, two of the dogs were found and rescued from the "pound" in Nashville, Tennessee.
Also, they had at least 2 dogs to play each part -- and a couple of the characters were played by 3 different dogs. Amazing, isn't it? Seems like I remember something about 32 dogs used to play all the parts. I have an internet friend in Alaska who had two of her dogs in that movie, as well. It was very interesting to read how they did everything. She said one of the most difficult parts for the dogs was to look tired. Huskies never get tired!! LOL They are always full of energy, so she said it was hard to get them to look like they were tired.
It was an interesting movie, and Barbara, it does have a happy ending -- somewhat bittersweet, I guess you could say. But it is a very sweet movie. You would probably enjoy it (well, you and a box of Kleenex tissues). LOL

Here's the web site about the "true" story --
babayaga (http://www.babayaga.ca/2006/02/so-you-want-siberian-husky-eight-below.html)
Sakhalin huskies were the actual dogs that were involved in the story on which the movie is loosely based. It is interesting to read about what really happened when you see a movie that was inspired by a certain true story.
I hope that link works.
