I only had time to scan the statement, but I thought it was a pretty good piece, coming from the ESA.

I thought ESA was a New Age cult?

Ususally I know pretty much exactly what you're getting at Bruce. Are you suggesting that Evangelicals for Social Action is a New Age Cult? They were founded back in the seventies by Ron Sider (who wrote Rich Christians in an Age of Hunger. The organization's original focus was world hunger and economic justice. They are solidly evangelical in doctrine and center-left in politics, generally.

I didn't think you could be solidly evangelical AND center-left politically? I thought those were mutually exclusive? Doesn't being center-left qualify them as a New Age cult? I'm confused.
