Ian, the Lord would encourage you to not be discouraged by your present difficulties, for He will
make a way for you in the midst of them. Remember that He has promised that you
will have tribulation in this world, but He has also told you that He has
already overcome this world. He will overcome in your case as well.
The Lord knows that things can seem overwhelming at times. There are times when
you feel that you can't keep on holding on and you just want to give up.
He will strengthen you in those times for you are precious
to Him. Remember that the way things appear is not always the way they
really are. Things will often look out of control or helpless from man's
perspective, because God does not always show us all that He is doing.
Know that He is always at work in your circumstances, to turn them to His glory,
Ian, God does not choose to show you all that He is doing behind the scenes.
Perhaps the reason for this is because He wants to train you to walk in faith and trust.
God wants you to know deep down in your innermost being that He is trustworthy
and He longs for you to place your trust, not in man’s words and comfort, but fully in Him.
Think this over. How it must bless the Lord when we know that we have no answers or solutions to a serious problem, and yet we choose to still trust Him and allow His peace to reign in our spirit. We serve a God who demonstrates His faithfulness to us over and over again.
God will act in His way and in His timing. And His way and His timing are often different than what we expect, but He would remind you that His ways are perfect and they are right.
Let me explain what I mean by that.
You know only what you perceive and see and hear and experience, but God knows
every dimension of everything that is going on in your situation. He knows the
spiritual forces that are at work against you and what strategies they are
taking. God knows what the future holds; the things that you cannot anticipate
will not catch Him by surprise. He even knows the innermost workings of your
heart: where you need to be healed, where you need to be challenged and
where you need to be matured. So my friend, know that the Lord takes every one of these
factors into consideration when He chooses His perfect strategy and timing to
work on your behalf and to bring His answers and His glory to your life.
God will not abandon you in your difficulties and He will not
leave you in the lurch. God is truth and He is righteous. And He is
also faithful and dependable and trustworthy.
In my short-long life I have encountered situations which I could not easily reconcile and gain peace. I have taken this approach.. with irreversible situations, that God will make a path to peace..where there seems to be no way...There was someone who counseled you that reminded you of this timeless truth
"Sometimes God calms the storm..Sometimes He calms the child"
As a teen...a Sophmore in BNC I was faced with a time of extreme grief.
I sang this song..until i breathed it..the lyrics became my prayer
When pangs of death seized on my soul,
Unto the Lord I cried.
Till Jesus came and made me whole,
I would not be denied.
I would not be denied, I would not be denied.
Till Jesus came and made me whole, I would not be denied.
As Jacob in the days of old,
I wrestled with the Lord,
And instant, with a courage bold,
I stood upon His word.
I would not be denied, I would not be denied.
Till Jesus came and made me whole, I would not be denied.
Old Satan said my Lord was gone
And would not hear my prayer.
But, praise the Lord, the work is done,
And Christ the Lord is here.
I would not be denied, I would not be denied.
Till Jesus came and made me whole, I would not be denied.
Ian you have had more advice and counsel than any person EVER on naznet and need to now...turn your face to the Lord..set it as a flint and determine in your soul that YOU WILL NOT BE DENIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are a treasured child of the Most High God...yet continual bemoaning wretched circumstances (in the face of this fact) along with your knowing full well the history of the faithfulness of God in your life...comes close to nullifying the power of the risen Christ...that power which inhabits your Spirit.
We love you...we weep for you...we are praying for God's mercy and grace...and you know you are surrounded by love...Now tis time for your grain of mustard seed to be watered with a renewed confidence in the goodness and the faithfulness of God
My love to you and Christine..and prayers here for Kimberly
