Not surprising, but he will land another job rather quickly. Where and what might be unpredictable presently, but he's too good of a coach to sit out very long.

It will be interesting to see how Michigan proceeds from here.

So, do you think Michigan makes a monster offer to Urban Meyer?

This is the one reason it surprised me that Harbaugh jumped on the Niners so quickly.

I'm not a Michigan fan (I grew up far too close to Purdue and Notre Dame for that to trip my trigger) so in that regard, I don't really care who Michigan brings in.

As far as Meyer goes, I'm guessing that he stays out of coaching for 3-5 years, but once his girls get settled into their own lives I can see him back at just about any place that expresses their interest with at least 7 places behind the first digit.

Whether or not he's actually that good might be up for debate, but in his mind he's worth it.
