LOL!
I must admit that it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Between the four different "views" that they take, there was about 16 seconds of actual pain. A small price to pay to know that things are ok OR to discover a problem while there still may be time to do something about it.
Some people say that larger chested women find these less painful? I guess I fall into that category so maybe that's why it wasn't so bad.
The thing I HAVE been putting off is a pelvic ultrasound. I hate ultrasounds because of the "full bladder" issue. Since it is a way to detect Ovarian cancer, I know that it is another smart thing to do. But having had both now I would rather have a mammogram than a pelvic ultrasound anyday.
I much prefer the gizmos on Star Trek. Those little sensors they pass over a body (even fully clothed bodies) that can read what's going on inside.
