I think I've been to the movie theater more times in the last month than I did all of last year. I went with a couple to see The Green Hornet[i] last night. I didn't really know what to expect. Didn't even know that Cameron Diaz was in it until she made her appearance.
It was really funny. I've watched a number of the comic book-type movies over the last decade, but there was a different feel to this one. As I came out of the theater, I commented to my friend that it [i]felt "comic book-y". The movie had a flow - in conversation, in plot, and in movement - that really reminded me of what a comic book story might look like in motion. There were hardly any long soliloquy-type scenes, and the banters back and forth between characters consisted of many short, choppy statements (making for a lot of hilarity).
So I liked it. I probably wouldn't see a movie like this in the theater usually (reserving that kind of money for blockbusters), but it was enjoyable.
