what does the gray bar with yellow stars mean?

I've noticed that some threads have a gray bar with yellow stars icon. What does that mean?

Ben, I think you're seeing the thread rating. It isn't used much on NazNet but it could be. When you have a thread open, just above the top post on the page you'll see a "Rate this thread" dropdown box. As people rate threads it's reflected in the forum listings.

On the movie forum, we've decided to use that feature as a way to rate the movie discussed in the thread (rather than the thread itself).
