Well, as you can probably tell, I went to a funeral yesterday in Alabama! I couldn't resist taking a photo of this marker as I walked through the cemetery! Are football fans as fanatical in other parts of the country as they are in Alabama?

Hey Barb,

I don't mean to intrude on your thread here, but I just noticed for the first time that you are from Sikeston, MO. Years ago I, along with friends and family, ate at a restaurant there. I think, I'm not positive, that it was called Lamberts. I do remember their slogan was "Home of the throwed rolls". Do you know of that place?

I have family in N.E Arkansas and friends in S.E. MO. I think they live in Campbell.

Thanks!
Andrea

Andrea,

Sikeston is the home of the original Lambert's home of the "throwed rolls." We are about 1 1/2 hours from Campbell, Arkansas, famous for their peaches.

Any time you are in the area, give me a call and I would love to meet you...at Lambert's!

Not far from Campbell, AR is Holcomb, MO, a tiny town with a restaurant that serves the most wonderful, melt-in-your mouth barbequed porksteak!
