The newness is that it was published in 'the mainstream press'.

Do you think the recent interest by the mainstream press in Christianity is a good thing? There has been a lot of talk about the evangelicals rise to power in national politics. I wonder whether Christians were ever meant to be a political force. Now I'm not saying that a Christian shouldn't be in a position of power. Jesus really didn't any time addressing the evils of the Roman Empire. In fact he taught that taxes should be paid to Caeser. He seemed to emphasize that the kingdom of God was not of this world.
So what is our place in the world?

I am just happy to see them say ANYTHING positive about Christianity.
I guess I am dreaming when I pray we would have a government which would allow us to worship as we please.

In what way is the government restricting the way we worship.
