My wife and I left Friday to celebrate our 29th anniversary that we had last Monday and we came home this morning. Usually when I rent a motel room I look for clean and cheap. This time I spent an hour on the Internet reading about motels and looking at pictures. Then I booked a suite at a very nice Holiday Inn in Des Moines. It was very nice and I got a good price too. Saturday we went to a museum and did some shopping. There are some nice places to eat in Des Moines too.
My oldest daughter, LaVonne, and her husband, David Foix, were called to be youth pastors at the White Stone Fellowship Church in Nobelsville Indiana. They will probably be moving in May. They are very excited.
My other son-in-law, Donny Powell, preached his first public sermon at our church this evening. Everyone thought he did very well. I video taped it for his class.
I'm attaching a couple pictures. One is of Donny and the other is of LaVonne and David.
I'm very proud of my daughters and son-in-laws.
