Faye and I had an interesting experience today with a little birdie. There was a church work day and I loaded up our old van with rakes, shovels, etc. Afterward we stopped at a Hardee's and ordered from the drive up window. From there, I pulled out into the lot and stopped for a moment to get stuff organized for the drive home.

Then this little fellow landed on our rear view mirror. He flew away once then came back. He stuck around looking at us for about 10 minutes. I dropped a french fry out the vent window, which he grabbed and flew away, pursued by about 6 of his friends. I have never been this close to a wild bird before. These pictures were taken with my cell phone.

Hmmm ... wonder if he's the "head honcho," or if some other bird showed him how to get french fries from generous folks at their apparently frequent fast-food hangout? Those pics are sooooo cute, Jim! ;)

My cell phone won't take pictures like these! Wow!
What a WONDERFUL picture....I just think the LORD just gives
us there precious SURPRISES that just blesses us so much!
"Funny" my friend sent a picture this morning of a bird "dancing" up
in a greenhouse on some wire or something.....

Here's my friend's bird experience yesterday....and this is what she wrote:

Hi Jilene,
I snapped this pix yesterday, at the old bachmans nursury in mpls. They had their open house, and we stopped in as we were in the area. I couldnt help shoot a gob of pix, but I became instantly intrigued by this lonely little bird, way up high on the top of the greenhouse...and he seemed to like the attention I was giving him...and almost seemed to pose for me. But this particular pix is so endearing...as it looks like hes actually marching...look at his little feet, so cute! ha.
