Make text standout on various backgrounds in PowerPoint!
Some may know this trick, some may not?
Slide #1. -- with your background in place and text box created, click inside your text box and right-click...then select "Format placeholder"
Slide #2. -- in the format Autoshape box, click on the down arrow as you are going to place a shaded background within the text box.
Slide #3. -- notice where it says, "follow Accent Scheme Color"....that is what we want to do. Select and use roughly the same color as the major portion of the background of your slide. If it is white, use white, if it is black, use black.
Slide #4. -- use the slide bar to select "98 percent" which I find it the best selection for the text to show the text shadow clearly.
Slide #5. -- Note selection as shown, now click "OK".
Slide #6. -- you should see a noticeable difference in the text shadow standing out from any seating area in the church. Note the font that I am using which is called "HalvettBlackConditional". It is a much nicer font than Arial or any other of the block type fonts.
Hope this gives you a way to place light text on a light or dark background. Be sure and experiment with the text box background colors. Some background colors work better than others but try to stay with the same color as the slide background color and you will find it seems to work better.
This is the best way to display text on a multi-colored background as well. Personally I don't like the pre-made shaded box type backgrounds as text can be seen well on a regular background as long as it is not too busy with this method above!
Blessings, and happy PowerPoint creations!
