No, I'm not talking about Iraq (unfortunately, that one could go on interminably).
I'm just winding down my 35th year in the income tax prep business. I'll be glad when this one is done. Right now I'm girding myself for the last minute dash. I have clients who 'in sure and certain hope of the resurrection' never start on their taxes 'til about now. I think their theory is, 'it'd be a shame to go to all the trouble of getting your taxes done only to be swept through the pearly gates just before April 15' or this year, April 17.
To really add to the joy of the season, the rocket scientists who run the processing service I've been using for years did a thorough review of the input forms I use then interviewing clients, decided they were working well and then proceeded to FIX them. (Having spent 36 years as a teacher that's certainly not the first time I've seen THAT heppen.)
Having been able to unload on you guys, I feel better already. I can now get back to work wrapping things up and getting my own extension ready to file.
