I admitt to an anemic intercessory prayer life..with the exception of when the Holy Spirit deposits a fiery burden in my spirit..i find interceding for those i do not have an acute love or interest in their lives..quite tedious and exhausting. Reading Dutch Sheets is captivating and energizing and propelles me into a realm of faith which is encouraging ..that prayer is THE KEY and to not weary in well doing....that God has the right time for an answer to prayer
To "not be intimidated by the size of the giant"
His personal ancedotes relate from experiencs in prayer and victorys realized range from Bourbon Street, the streets of vudo infested Hati to rebellious teens
A good read..need to digest this book..not one to read without alot of prayer
pray to read a book on prayer..how odious is this statement??

Hi Judy. I've read this book 3 times and I am challenged each time. I also like to read Andrew Murray and the material and books provided by the dLocal church Prayer Leader's Network. Excellent organization and I have several of their books and training materials I use to train my people in prayer. they have put out a book called, "The Prayer-Satuarted Church" that is very practical with its helps, CD, and each chapter walks you through each step of the process of helping your congregation move to becoming a prayer saturated congregation.

Hi
You have inspired me to pick this book up and read it again
am engaged..convicted..and excited..all this..just with the first chapter
God has large plans for each of us as His sons and daughters...
I pray that my life will count...and there is not so very much of my life
left to matter....and I do want to matter..to others
and prayer seems to be the door ...the key

It was a very enjoyable book for me ~ explained alot of what went on while I was praying. And I loved your signature at the end about the guy who hated shots. More than just nurses will find that funny :)
