Donny and several others have a bike ministry for young teenagers. They were at a bike park here in Pella today. Donny asked me to come and take pictures. They were having a jumping contest and Donny made a bad landing and broke his leg. I got a picture of the jump he broke his leg on. I know what many of you are thinking and yes, it is dangerous. But these kids would be out doing it anyway and at least now they have some adult supervision and they have to wear helmets.

Hope it heals soon. This injury should not stop him from changing diapers!!

Those Guy's-----------------------------------
on the ground should have longer ropes, they will end up with something broke.. Maybe their neck.:)
This is something my brothers did with an old buggy that they had taken the body off. They would jump ravines with it. One day they hit the old buck sheep and killed it. Boy's will be boys. I had a ball being their little sister. If they didn't let me go with them I would tell on them, so I got to do everything they did.

Aha! 'Sounds like Marg knows the "value" of something we call "blackmail," huh? 'Just like a little sister, eh?

As for Donny ... 'saw this, Joel, and tho't, "Oh, no! after everything else that's going on with him ... this might frustrate him, slowing him down while trying to keep up with classes, working ... getting enough sleep." However, someone mentioned he might get a bit more of that "rest" he needs now ... ???

We pray it does heal quickly, doesn't give him trouble ... and that he won't get discouraged while contending with this having a hard time getting around now being added to his already full schedule of classes, work, and trying to get enough sleep, to boot!

It was a clean break of the fibula. The doctor said that if he was going to break a bone, that was the best way to do it, but it hurt really bad. He broke it by turning his foot in 90 degrees. He was in a lot of pain!:gen06I was sure that he did a lot of damage to his ankle joint but apparently his fibula broke first. Your right, he is going to get the rest he needs now.
