We rented it yesterday and watched it. We also enjoyed. Of course, John mentioned it in his message this morning....the part where Aslon dies on the altar, the altar spits in two and Aslon is resurrected.

HAHAHAHA! I figured that most of the people interested in the movie have read the books. I have a degree in English and taught literature at the high school level, but never read the Chronicles of Narnia. I knew about them, but never read them.

Oh, as you know, there is more after this incident. That is not the ending of the movie.

I have always known about the books. My wife and kids have read them many times. I saw the BBC version of the books they did, but I have never read the books myself. I started to read "The Lion, the witch and the Wardrobe" when I was young but it started out too slow for me and I didn't read very far. I read Lewis's, "Mere Christianity" a few years ago but I don't remember much of it. The English word things a little differently and sometimes it is hard for me to understand what they are saying. My oldest daughter and her husband are big C.S.Lewis fans. They even named their cat, Lewis, after him.

With my opinion of cats, this would qualify as an insult... :fun03

They have never met. Lewis is a very big tomcat and he plays kind of rough. Libby is a timid pussy cat that has never been around other cats as long as she can remember. If other cats are outside our house, she growls at them from the window. If we open the door, she runs and hides. She hides from children too, even Ethan. She checked Ethan out the first time we brought him home and since then she has kept well clear of him. Both cats have been fixed although Lewis still has his claws.

I bought the DVD a week ago and my husband and I finally watched it Saturday night. Would have liked to have seen it in the theater but time slipped away. It made for an enjoyable Saturday evening after a hectic Saturday.
