This morning we had Sunday School (at the normal time, Marsha) and a morning worship service (also at the normal time). :)

Our pastor mixed things up a bit with the sermon and altar call smack-dab in the middle of the service. He talked people through a prayer of conversion and then asked those who had said the prayer for the first time to stand (all others keeping their eyes closed). On our oak floors, I could hear many people standing! After the congregation stood, we sang You Are My King with a further invitation to come to the altar. At this point, a young man came forward with his mother weeping along with him. This young man has had a very troubled life which included drugs, alcohol and participation in Wicca. His wife was raised as a Wiccan. This man was troubled as a small boy, teen and then as a young adult. Many people in our church have literally been praying for him since he was in elementary school. As one of the instrumentalists, I had a front row seat to watch him throw himself on the altar and beg God to forgive him. Wow! The whole church just exploded with an electric feeling! It was pretty amazing.

I just thought I would share this amazing experience with you all and ask you to pray for Adam...he has a hard "row to hoe" as his wife was not with him today. She has been with him in the past at church, but this was usually visits for them to bum money off of his mother. Her name is Michelle and they have a beautiful baby boy. Please pray for them as well as his mother.

Thanks,
Cindi H.

Sounds like a terrific Easter Cindi! PTL!

Our Spanish group had their own Sunrise Service this morning and had a lady accept the Lord in the service. That makes 5 people in our church family coming to the Lord in the last week.

It is so neat reading stories like yours and seeing what is happening here too.
