Along with the beauty of spring comes the time for Proms and Graduations.
My prayer is that the young people everywhere will make the smart decisions in how they handle themselves in these atmospheres. The decisions to stay away from drinking, drugs, and reckless behavior.

So far this year in my kids high school they have had several heartaches. In the fall they had 2 different car accidents which left one teen dead, and the other with severe head injuries. The head injury was because this teen decided thought it would be fun to ride on the roof of the car, but when the car suddenly stopped he went flying and smashed his head on the street. He is alive, but has to relearn everything. He is like a small child. :gen01
The most recent heartache for the high school was that a most favorite teacher suddenly died from an aneurysm. :basic04 :

Lets remember to pray for our teens that they can be the leaders of thier peers and help them in learning how to have fun, but also be safe.

Lori -

I had just heard the other day that Mr. Rhodes passed. I had him for at least one class and often played basketball with him after school. I was sorry to hear that he passed.

Sorry Jeremy, I probably should have notified you.
I brought Joline, Joe and Dan to the wake and then to the funeral. There were over 500 people in attendance at the funeral. He was a great man, and also played basketball with Joe and Dan a lot. He did this for many students. He is surely missed.

The principal this past week has asked the students to please be careful in thier decisions because they don't want to lose anyone else.

The last year our children attended high school in Africa there were four students from that school who died on motorcycles. This was in Johannesburg - lots of traffic.

Please suggest your children wear helmets and be careful!?
