Central church, Tucson, AZ has been searching for a new pastor as the old one is now in Florida. I have not formally met this Pastor but I came in to the church lobby, was warmly greeted by another Barb in the church and then Miss Betty also approached me and told me she was so glad to see me.

I sat behind the Grant Family and during greeting shook hands with some old friends and new people.

The church installed the new Pastor and his family by our new DS.

I honestly can tell you the atmosphere in my opinion seemed lighter, not bogged down with the decisions to be made but happy to have a new pastor.

I decided to go back there, even though last Sunday I was hesitant as I still didn't feel home and visited another church.

Today I did and I pray fervently that this church allows me the one thing I have been missing for months. JOY. JOY in singing praises. JOY in hearing the old and new church music. JOY in seeing friends and hopefully making new.

I am so glad I found Central and I think now I can be a regular attending member and not feel, "out" of my element.

Although today we had a pot luck and I am not a real joiner, I'm not used to pot lucks and joining in reindeer games and came home, got in my grubs, did a quick three mile walk and took a nap. Now I can sit in from of my sewing machine and just relax.

I appreciate you letting me just ramble on. I feel for the first time, peace and joy and hope. Hope that all is going to be okay.

I am glad to know that Central once again is moving forward. Linda and I were members of that church from 1967 until 1969. We learned a lot of important lessons when we were there.

For a while, Linda and I were in charge of children's church. One of the kids we had in our children's church is now the Associate Dean of Students at Eastern Nazarene College.
